E-E-A-T

Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness — Google's content-quality heuristic, also used by AI retrievers.

Also known asEEATE-A-T

E-E-A-T is a set of signals AI retrievers weight heavily when deciding which source to cite. Experience = the author has actually used the thing. Expertise = credentials. Authoritativeness = reputation beyond the page. Trustworthiness = the page itself signals safety (clear author, contact info, citations).

The practical levers: named author bylines, author pages with sameAs links, dated updates, and in-line citations to primary sources. Anonymous, undated content ranks worse in AI retrieval even when it's factually correct.
